Queer Cinema for Palestine
Join us on June 24, 2026 at 7pm for a program of short films, curated by Queer Cinema for Palestine. This program is organized by Sappho's Social Club and co-presented by Mizna and MSP Film.

ABOUT SAPPHO'S SOCIAL CLUB
Sappho's Social Club is a community based group of Sapphics in the Twin Cities, dedicated to creating free or low-cost events that bring people together in meaningful ways.
ABOUT MIZNA
Mizna presents contemporary, critical, and experimental art, writing, and film centering the work of Arab and Southwest Asian and North African artists. Mizna In 2026, Mizna celebrates the twentieth edition of our flagship program, and we mark this milestone by drawing on cinematic transmissions from our past festivals. We align this series with our broader 2026 film programming––Looking Forward, Looking Back––which confronts the visual record of SWANA cinema, including our own festival, demanding radical new meanings from the archive rather than a simple, sentimental look.

Sappho's Torch Commencement
Sappho’s Torch is a mentorship initiative under Sappho’s Social Club dedicated to building intergenerational connection within the Twin Cities sapphic community. Through intentional, identity-affirming pairings, we pass down the knowledge, resilience, and pride that sustain our community so no one has to figure it out alone. We understand the power of our history and want to help bridge the generational divides within sapphic circles. Sapphic youth (Buds) are matched with adult mentors (Lavenders) who offer friendship, advice, and a listening ear. These relationships help young people navigate life’s challenges, explore their interests, and gain the skills they need to reach their full potential.
Our inaugural cohort kicks off June 14th.
Pride Sewing Workshop
Local designer Maxine Britt of MX Apparel will lead a Pride Sewing Workshop to round off our Pride Month weekend kickoff.
